History

Fast Forward Theatre began in 2000 with a production of 'The Dumb Waiter' by Harold Pinter at The Barbican Theatre in Plymouth. This was directed by Marian Macbeth and featured Richard Haighton and Anthony Chamberlain in the roles of Ben and Gus. This production then toured to local secondary schools.

A second production, 'Two' by Jim Cartwright followed shortly afterwards directed by Anthony Chamberlain and featuring Richard Haighton and Gillie Giles. Fast Forward Theatre was then effectively mothballed on Richard Haighton's move to Jersey in 2001.

In 2007, Fast Forward is ready to hit the road again and will debut 'Will Kempe and the Nine Days' Wonder' at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August. Our venue (234) is The European in Scotland, 39, Palmerston Place, EH12 5AU. In Week 1, we perform at 1215 and 2030 and in Weeks 2 and 3, at 1215. This production is then available for touring.
